My good friend Cathie gave me the perfect book, The Precious Present, by Spencer Johnson, it’s a beautiful little book. I think there also needs to be discernment about if someone’s negativity is constant then sometimes not being with them is also a way to protect yourself. I’m not saying all the time, but sometimes there are situations where you need to take a break.

Thanks for the lovely articles that are there to remind us. I left the kitchen after dinner last week and went upstairs with my three daughters and played with them. They danced for me and we laughed and mucked around. It was lovely. I had lots to do after they were all in bed and I couldn’t do it every day but I did think I should do that more often than I do do.
